Jerusalem

Even if someone does not know Jerusalem from experience, the city is still an important location in the geography of everybody's mind. The history of Jerusalem as a ‚city of borders’, traditional stories, along with recent incidents and political news are well known to almost everybody.

Christoph Burtscher's snapshot, taken on Temple Mount, shows a young boy playing ball. Being aware of the immense pressure between ultra-religious and secular life-stile, this photograph stimulated him to an associative performance with three objects.
